Lanvin Spring 2010 RTW

Recently, in my current city of residence (Paris), a certain designer brand, Lanvin, displayed a sparkly, colorful, and beautiful spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection. Under the creative vision of art director Alber Elbaz, Lanvin showed a great mix of typical black-palette Lanvin designs slowly morphing into more eccentric, colorful and impacting designs perfect for spring. Personally, I enjoyed the slow progression from black to color, though the end of the show was certainly the ‘important’ part of the show for me. Elbaz created a huge amount of texture both with the draping of the fabric to the interesting textile work on the fabric itself. He embellished entire ensembles with chunky gold glitter and he adorned the models with enormous jewelry to enhance the chunky glittery feeling of the garments.
I loved the look of many of the last designs, so most of the photos posted here are from the final part of the show. I hope you enjoy!

This first yellow and black ensemble is one of my personal favorites.
