This season’s spectacle can be found thanks to the one and only Alexander McQueen, a famous English fashion designer (though I think “showman” is a more fitting title). For the fall 2009 Ready-to-Wear collection, McQueen, staying true to his style, put on quite a performance with his ironic but perfectly constructed garments and incredible styling choices. He painted his models’ faces in an almost offensive manner, yet they look so high-fashion, despite the bimbo lips and ghastly colored skin. He also adorned them with some of the most bizarre headpieces I have seen recently, all adding to his satirical point of view. Though, however ironic or satirical McQueen’s designs may seem, they are nothing short of perfection as far as Alexander McQueen designs go.
What a show!
